the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS is June 5, 2008.  Have a great summer!

PLAY DAY will be on June 4, 2008.  Check back for details.

The March Early Out for Professional Development in March 19.  Students will be dismissed at 2:15.

Spring Break will begin at 3:10 on March 20 and school will resume on Tuesday, March 25.  Have a great break!

Our twice annual writing assessment will be completed during the third week of October. Each student at school will prepare a writing compostion to be rated by a number of the teaching staff. Staff and students, alike, look forward to seeing the ratings to see what progress they have made from the previous year.

The first day of school for students is August 29, 2007. Teachers are busily preparing rooms and getting ready to meet their new students for a fun and exciting year. If you have any questions about the upcoming school year, please call 745-3811 ext. 302.

The Elementary School Office will be closed from June 21-August 12.  New students can register for school beginning August 13.

Summer Making Connections programs have begun and will run until the end of July.  If you have questions, call Hal Schmid or Wendy Arlint.  Hal Schmid’s cell phone number is  370-2653.

June 4-7 will be a busy time for students:

On June 5 - all elementary students will participate in PLAY DAY on the football practice field east of the High School.

Grades 3, 4, and 5 and the morning kindergarten students will participate from 8:30-10:45

Grades 1, 2, and afternoon kindergarten students will participate from 12:30-2:45

PARENTS AND GUARDIANS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND

On June 6: All students will participate in “moving up day” where they will meet their next year’s teachers and find their next year’s classrooms. This starts at 2:45 p.m. So all children should know where they will be going to school next year before the school year ends.

On June 7: At 2:45 all students will assemble in the Elementary Gym for a Last Day of School Assembly. Awards for Physical Fitness, attendance, and other topics will be given. PARENTS AND GUARDIANS ARE WELCOME TO THIS ASSEMBLY, TOO.

Here are photos from the start of the race and during the activity. Despite the hot weather, at least 25 students made at least a 2 mile run in the 30 minutes of activity.
